The Howling Wannabes are proud to announce the impending release of their latest album, Still Howlin’, which is an impressive document of the band’s songwriting abilities and impressive musicianship. Featuring the writing talents of Gary Deatherage and David Lyons, the Wannabes’ new record contains 13 songs which range widely in style and approach, and yet still maintain a cohesive and catchy appeal. From spacey, moody ruminations on the meaning of death, to light and joyful looks at a road trip with a good friend, and mystical heavy mental explorations into uncharted territory, the Howlin’ Wannabes new release, Still Howlin’ is an emotional and riveting experience that is unique in sound and vision.

Still Howlin’ features the core members of the Howling Wannabes: Gary Deatherage on rhythm guitars and vocals, David Lyons on harmonica, violin, rhythm guitars and vocals, Allan Kimmel on bass guitar, Mark Nicol on lead guitars, and Jason Deatherage on drums, background vocals, bass guitar and keyboards. This time around the Wannabes also welcome keyboardist Aram Masee to the fold with his impressive musical talents.

Like their first album, The Howling Wannabes’ Still Howlin’ was largely recorded live off the floor, providing an organic and real vibe to the bed tracks upon which the album is built. Recorded at Fort Cosmos Studios in Creston, BC, and produced by Jason Deatherage, Still Howlin’ is a major step in the sound of the Howling Wannabes, featuring lush vocal harmonies and deep guitar layers that were absent from their eponymous first release.

Stay tuned for more info on the upcoming release. We hope to see it available to the public by early September, and it will be for sale right here at FortCosmos.com
